In the final scheduled game between Kansas and Missouri, it was only fitting the two bitter adversaries would need five extra minutes to decide it.
Robinson’s three-point play in the waning moments of regulation kept their 105-year-old rivalry alive, and Taylor’s foul shots with 8.3 seconds remaining gave the fourth-ranked Jayhawks a dramatic 87-86 victory over the No. 3 Tigers on Saturday. GREAT GAME!!! ROCK CHALK JAYHAWK!
Boys basketball sectionals began. Clyde Savannah won their first game to Kendall (67-57) but lost their second game to Honeoye (65-68). Kameron had a great season. Nana said Kam did great in the game.
The chronic nature of drug addiction means that relapsing to drug abuse is not only possible, but likely. Relapse rates for drug addiction are similar to those for other well-characterized chronic medical illnesses such as diabetes, hypertension, and asthma, which also have both physiological and behavioral components. Treatment of chronic diseases involves changing deeply imbedded behaviors, and relapse does not mean treatment failure. For the addicted patient, lapses back to drug abuse indicate that treatment needs to be reinstated or adjusted, or that alternate treatment is needed.
This is a tough road for Darian and Kris so prayers are needed now as well as encouragement and support.
Today I talked to Kelsie, a couple of weeks ago I told her I was mailing her a music CD. I got busy and have not done it (bad Lala) and today she asked me, “How’s that CD coming along?” Mind like a trap. I will have it done tonight and in the mail Monday. Lesson: Don’t say it unless you plan to do it. Package ready to mail tomorrow morning- leave it to the little ones to keep us honest!
