The Name Game

Okay, I started a new column… Name that baby!
Okay my first suggestion for a name is … Wyatt. I am thinking its a great name. It i s strong and suggests law abiding tendencies! Anyway I love the name… what do you think Ken and Sue?

Sue, I really like Kelsie or Drew! And actually, they could work for a boy or a girl. Your names are right up my alley! I still really like Kenley too!

Mom, give up on Wyatt… we don’t need any cowboys in the family! WHere on earth did you get Wyatt from? Remind me not to listen to you when I go to have a baby! You’re nuts Farley!

Hey, you can always do as we did… we could not decide a girl name so Erin named her sister! Thank goodness she did not like the name Ruth… Baby Ruth!!!
    She picked a "Baby Beth."

I need help! You guys are putting names in my head and coming up with some good ones! Keep them coming… it’s fun to see the ones you come up with. There are so many that you say that remind me of other people so if we don’t go crazy over one it’s because we either know somebodies kid is named after it or something. At this point it doesn’t look like we are "sticking" to the "K" thing it’s just that Kelsie would be named after my grandmother and that was one I had picked long ago. Nothing is solid though. Keep them coming!

OK, I just looked in that baby site and wow some good names…

This is cool… Kenan, or Kennan. (Of course that sounds good as it has Ken in the name.) Since you liked Carter or Karter, they had Karsten (which does not rhyme with farter!) Kirsten or Kellan are always nice for a girl, but Kelsey rocks!! On a silly note, you can have my name suggestion for next week

    …insert drum roll here…

Kareem!! Think tall and basketball!! If that one doesn’t work the next suggestion is…

    Kato! ~grin~

Well, I was always partial to the names starting with E. How about Evan for a boy or Ethan. (I still like Wyatt… it just reminds me of Kenny, yanno, someday he will grow a thick handlebar mustache and be a sheriff. The good thing is, there is no nickname that is easily attached to it. On my soap opera they just had a baby girl, and named her Sage. I thought that was pretty.

If all else fails, I can suggest the ol’ Culver family stand-bys my m-i-l always wanted used… Obediah, Seth or Crandall. (Psssttt… Wyatt!!)

Oh, I forgot to add that part of the reason I liked Karli was because it meant "covered with snow." I though that was sorta neat considering the baby will be born this winter. he he

Sue, I really love the name Drew!!! I actually wanted to name my first little girl (someday) Drew! I also like the name Kendall (if we stick with the K’s). Kelsie is really nice too Sue!

I haven’t had a chance to check out the site yet but the ones on the table right now are Danielle, Kelsie, Drew, and Dominick… Erin, I do really like Kyle or Kylee but I’ve got a nephew Kyle.

Ken and Slivie D did the K thing. I say be adventurous and delve into the alphabet… there are 25 letters waiting to sport a cool name for Baby DiSanto, and besides… Gino is a G name and I think that’s on the list! Oh well, this seemed like a fun way to get some suggestions. I like Wyatt. Next week I will suggest something else! And HEY! I posted!!

Have fun at school tomorrow and stay cool.

Good topic mom! I went to the baby name site that Aunt La posted and I looked through the K’s. For a boy I liked Kenley and Kyle. For girls (which I am pulling for) I liked Kaley, Karli, or Kylie (or Kyleigh – different spelling). Don’t know on this one… K’s are sorta hard to find these days. I always like Kacie for a guy (reminds me of my friend, and of course Aunt Kay) but I know we already have one in the family. I always really liked it though!

I’m thinking it needs to start with a K- Keane meaning sharp, bold for a boy or Kaia meaning earth for a girl. Or find a name here…
