Christy Altomare lead in “Anastasia” singing Happy Birthday to Delaney (trip to New York City).
Kay & Delaney went to New York City for Delaney’s birthday. She got to see the play (and meet the cast) of Anastasia. She tried to meet the cast of “Once on this Island but had no luck. They did find the Rockefeller Tree.
I got to see Kelsie play volleyball, Delaney play soccer, Mom’s birthday, Delaney’s show and shared a meal with almost everyone!
Thank you Carroll family for hosting mom’s get together- we had a blast. Except for…
But we were saved by Kris and Brooklyn!
Best part…sing Happy Birthday to mom…

Ti Moune, a peasant girl, rescues a wealthy boy from the other side of the island, Daniel, with whom she falls in love. Unbeknownst to Ti Moune, the pompous gods who preside over the island make a bet with one another over which is stronger, love or death, the stakes being Ti Moune’s life. When she pursues Daniel, who has returned to his people, Ti Moune is shunned because of her lowly status. Her determination and capacity to love, though, is not enough to win Daniel’s heart, and Ti Moune pays the ultimate price; but the gods turn Ti Moune into a tree that grows so strong and so tall, it breaks the wall that separates the societies and ultimately unites them.
Stages performances improve the community by encouraging young performers to use and share their talents to help others. The performances of Once on This Island benefit Trevor’s Toes & Tushies by joining with them in their Socks & Underwear Drive. To assist them in their efforts, we will be collecting new, packaged socks and underwear (child sizes – small adult sizes) during each Once on This Island performance.
Kelsie’s middle school homecoming picture- she was voted queen! She also has a volleyball game, Wednesday, October 11 at East Rochester– Lala and Kris are going to watch her play! I hear she is getting quite good at spiking that ball!
Silvie playing golf- she even hit a hole in one! I think mom & dad can’t wait to take her on the golf course with them!
Well, she has just about finished middle school and is on to High school. Holy shit!! They had their award ceremony last night and Delaney received 3 of the 5 awards.
She received the NYS Attorney General Triple “C” Award (given to a student who has shown a commitment to learning, to their community, and to their fellow classmates while demonstrating courage in the face of academic or person difficulties. Nominations were sent to the NYS Attorney General’s office and the winner is selected by that office).
She also received a Teacher’s Choice Award (Teachers are given the opportunity to select a student to receive this award. These students have shown a keen interest in a subject, have special motivation, and may have done an outstanding project or who have shown tremendous amounts of growth. Teachers write a personal letter honoring this student). Mr. French, her math teacher selected her for this award. She has also received this award 2 other times in Middle School.
The last award is the President’s Award for Educational Excellence (This award is for eighth graders who had an average of 89.5% or above for the four terms in grade seven and the first 3 terms of grade 8). There were 103 students in her class that received this award (1/3 of her class). That is really terrific! Almost all the girls on her soccer team also received this award!!
We also found out last week that she was the 8th grade student of the month for June! What a way to end your 4 years in middle school. We couldn’t be prouder! Love this kid!
Delaney’s “husband” in Addams family and good friend was a young man named Micheal Lynch. He was hit by a car going to school yesterday and is in critical condition. Please keep Delaney and The Lynch family in your prayers during this difficult time.
This was from the D&C:
Michael Lynch, 14, was struck by a car while crossing Cooper Road on Thursday. A freshman at Irondequoit High, Lynch suffered life-threatening injuries and underwent surgery at Strong Memorial Hospital on Thursday.
“Michael comes from a family of strong religious faith. The Lynch family has had their share of struggles throughout these past couple of years with the mother, Bernadette, battling cancer herself and is now faced with this nightmare.”
I am writing with some tragic news about a theater friend of Delaney’s who was hit by a car yesterday on his way to school. Michael Lynch was 14 and was critically injured from this accident. They operated and removed part of his skull to try and reduce the swelling to his brain, however it did not help and he has been declared brain dead. He also has bleeding in his lungs and a broken leg. He is on life support right now and was not expected to survive the night. He is still on life support as he will be donating his organs. This was a tragic accident to a bright, funny young man who touched many people. Michael was Delaney’s theater husband!! She is completely heartbroken as we all are for this situation. He was extremely close to his mother, who is currently undergoing treatment for Cancer. Please prayer for a wonderful family that they will find the means to find comfort during this very difficult time. Thanks, K
Funeral arrangements have been announced for Irondequoit teen Michael Lynch.
Lynch, 14, died Thursday, two weeks after he was struck by a car as he crossed Cooper Road in Irondequoit.
Lynch was struck by a car while crossing Cooper Road on March 30. A freshman at Irondequoit High School, Lynch was critically injured and underwent surgery at Strong Memorial Hospital. Lynch was walking to school when the crash occurred.
Lynch’s family will receive friends and community members from 3 to 8 p.m. Monday at Paul W. Harris Funeral Home, 570 Kings Highway South in Irondequoit. His funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Frances Cabrini at Our Lady of the Americas (Corpus Christi Church, 864 E. Main St. in Rochester).
