Spirit Stick…

“He that does good for good’s sake, seeks neither praise or reward, but he is sure of both in the end.”
~ William Penn

We have a “spirit stick” at out school which is given to people who are recognized for doing a good job. The person giving the stick writes a note to the person. That person will then pass it on to someone else. I received the stick last week- it felt good! So I thought I would share a picture and the concept. I love working at Hawthorn because we have so many innovative, positive and helpful things going on. I wish all students had the opportunity to learn in this type of environment.

There are probably not too many people that give more or care more in the school that you do, so I think it is a great choice. Congratulations! The little people are very lucky to have you.

Till I get around to sending it on (1-2 weeks) and yes it is just in our building. I have already sent mine on- we have two going around.

This is a wonderful idea and to have it come from your peers is special in itself. How long do you get to keep it for and is it just circulated within your building?

That’s terrific- but at first when I saw a spirit stick- I thought you won a cheerleading competitioon (Kris will understand this!!) Don’t drop the spirit stick- it will bring you bad luck!! That was really nice and the note was a nice way to let you know you make a difference!! Congrats- you should celebrate- go to a movie!
