Say some prayers

I hate technology. I’m back from Myrtle Beach and of course I had to download my pictures of the family (Great ones). Don’t you know that my disk reader is telling me that there is a problem with the disk. So I reboot, thinking that maybe that’s what it needed. Well, now it reads file fragments. I hope to God that my pictures are still there. I will check it in my camera when I get home this afternoon. I had probably 70 pictures of the family that were great at the beach, and I’m going to be very upset if my stupid camera corrupted the card. If so, SanDisk (the maker) is going to get a mouthful because I have only had the card for 3 or 4 months.

I’m not a very happy girl right now!!! Please pray…

Yes, the company was a help but they wanted you to pay to actually save your info? THey wanted $80 and I wasn’t about to pay that for only 30 photos that I have saved. BUT they have a view thing so you can see the picture, so I copied it and pasted it into photoshop… they probably are not the hi-res photos I started with because of this, but at least I have them. I lost about 70 photos total though… some really great ones too. I had one of Kam standing on the beach looking out into the ocean that I loved… GONE. I had ones of Kam and Matty picking up seashells that were great…. GONE. I had two great ones of Kris with Matty on the beach… GONE. Sigh…

Well folks, I’ve done all that I can and I was only able to recover just under half of the photos from this past weekend. I’m so bummed right now that I cannot even tell you. There are still some good ones, but all the ones I took down at the beach when we were shell searching are all gone. I have no idea what happened but I did some reading on it and I even downloaded a recovery program… that’s how I was able to get some of them back. The rest have gone to photo heaven…. sigh. 🙁
