Say a prayer…

“The value of consistent prayer is not that He will hear us,
but that we will hear Him.”

“You know what? There’s a reason why we’re called the Saints,” because no matter what religion you are, whether you’re a Catholic, whether you’re voodoo, whether you’re Baptist or so on, so on, and so on — we all pray. We all pray.”
The roads are flooded, the power is out, the phones are down and many trees are down. The water has dislodged fire ants and thousands of snakes — including poisonous water moccasins — from their homes. (Yuck). This is truly a catastrophic event, but it could have been so much worse. Many people lost their lives, millions will be homeless. They NEED our prayers.

(picture by Erin when they went to New Orleans.
This was in the cemetery- Hope they stayed put).

Yuck- saw caskets floating yesterday on the news. See this is one reason I opt for cremation.

I can’t believe how stupid those people are down there. I was watching CNN where they were pulling all these small children out of the houses. Who in their right mind has a cat. 5 hurricane coming for them and doesn’t get the family out?? I’m glad I got to see New Orleans, cause it’ll never be the same again.

Having gone through a flood- it’s nasty and the loss is horrible- you can save nothing. I can’t imagine losing everything you own and for some that meant their lives. Sometimes I wish I could just leave and go help (Red Cross does a good job) but you feel helpless just watching and praying. It’s not over yet as 20 ft of water takes a long time to go down- there will be MANY homeless people.
