Record snow blankets North Carolina

The total snowfall from Thursday through Friday morning ranged from 12 to 18 inches in the Winston-Salem and Greensboro area; and 6 inches to 8 inches in the Raleigh-Durham area and in Charlotte, a record 11.6 inches fell Thursday, smashing the old high mark for the date of 6.5 inches set in 1926.
We are getting hit with a lot of snow this year…Erin & Kris- how are you doing?

Winston-Salem did not get hit as bad as they planned, although it was more than we usually see. It was enough to cover the ground and stay a while, but I don’t think it was over 10 inches. I heard Charlotte got bombed though! Kris may have to update on that one because I am not sure…
