We had as much fun as in the past years. We still had Dinner for a Dollar with {{popup dogs.gif dogs 500×235}}hotdogs. We still had kites and {{popup blowbubbles.gif blowbubbles 500×654}}bubbles, and {{popup birds.gif birds 357×500}}sidewalk chalk but added {{popup tiedyd.gif tiedyd 500×333}}tie dye, {{popup prayerflags.gif prayerflags 500×291}}prayer flags and a {{popup winners.gif winners 314×500}}photo contest of Peace in Nature and Peace and People. We decorated our outside {{popup peacefence.gif peacefence 500×157}}fence, made new
{{popup bboard.gif bboard 500×393}}bulletin boards, and had adults perform the {{popup adultmusic.gif adultmusic 500×294}}music– we had sax, guitar and beautiful harmonies. This was also an event for families to come and say goodbye to our principal. The kids sang {{popup kidssinging.gif kidssinging 500×246}}”You Raised Me Up”, we made Teresa her own {{popup ttflag.gif ttflag 500×143}}Prayer flag. Next week we will have the kids sign the white panels. After they sang, Teresa handed out {{popup cupcakes.gif cupcakes 500×290}}cupcakes and received lots of {{popup hug.gif hug 291×500}}hugs. We had {{popup hippies.gif hippies 500×460}}old, {{popup young.gif young 500×420}}young and had a very {{popup peaceball.gif peaceball 318×500}}peaceful day.

I would love to do this with Delaney’s school, but it takes having leadership on board and I don’t know the Principal good enough right now to know if she would support. Maybe in a couple years!

This is when I wish I was creative- I wanted to make the flag for Teresa but I can think it- can’t always make it. I was very impressed with how it turned out…I need to make me one for home!
