I’ve been getting okra in my CSA baskets each week and needed a new recipe to try. I’ve only ever added it to gumbo… but it’s a bit too hot in SC (95+) for Gumbo and not such a healthy recipe. I did a search and found this Okra Creole. It’s amazing! I didn’t use the bacon (just olive oil) and added some vegan bacon salt and green peppers for flavor. I think I also added some of my favorite spice blend, “Slap Ya Mama.”
