Nick has had the great honor to be selected by the pricipal at BOCES to represent Geneva in a meeting with Richard Mills, Head of the Education Dept. in NY State and Susan Sclafani, hope that spellng is correct. She is on Pres. Bush’s cabinet for technical Ed. I hope that is right. They will be at the Flint Boces because of a huge cut in tech. ed. The principal had nothing but praise for our Nick and we are so proud of him. You will do a great job and I just wish I could see you dressed all up. Kelly could not get into her computer to post this and Karen’s is down so I hope this is correct. Congratulations to a wonderful kid who is really turning into a wonderful Man. Love you Nick

Way to go Nick! We are very proud of you and know you will represent your school and the program well.

I would leave commentary on Bush and his promise of "No child left behind" but we are stuck with him and his budgetary cuts and broken promises for four more years!

I spent about 30 minutes on the phone this morning with the Assistant
Principal at BOCES in which I was informed that Nicholas along with 4 other
seniors were picked to be representatives this Friday to meet with Assistant
Secretary, Office of Vocational and Audlt Education Dr. Susan Sclafani from
Washington DC. http://www.ed.gov/news/staff/bios/sclafani.html is where you will
find her Bio Profile. Along with Commissioner of Education for NYS Richard
    P. Mills.

The Bush administration is recommending a $2.9 Billion dollar cut from the
Perkins Funding which is what BOCES is entirely funded on. Nicholas will
meet with Dr. Sclafani for about 30 minutes as well as having to prepare a
written statement that will be going back to Washington DC and presented to
    the Bush Administration.

Nicholas was chosen for the great job he did presenting BOCES last year at
the School Board Convention in Buffalo. On April 21st he will be competing
up north for the State Competition that he won first place in last year!

I can’t even tell you how very proud I am of this child of mine. I was
crying on the phone when I was talking with this man for all the wonderful
thing he said about Nick. God just imagine what I will be like on
graduation day!!! The only thing they will hear is me sobbing!
