“Autumn...the year's last, loveliest smile."
Yesterday my neighbor George passed away. Keep his family in your prayers.
Christmas This Year…
We all need to believe that God is there for us and will get us through the sadness. He does love us and gives us many blessings, we just need to see them. We can’t reflect only on the bad, did the sun shine, was there a beautiful snow fall, did a child smile at you or tell you that they loved you, did you boss give you a compliment or be there for you in an hour of need, did you get your ironing done–praise God. There are many more things to be thankful for than the sad. Look for them. Ask God to help you see them. Let us all pray tonight and find three things that were good and beautiful today, and thank God for them. Love, Mom
Really sad to hear of the news… there is no easy time or way but God gives us incredible gifts in which to help each other in times like these… you are all special people who help others in so many ways. Be there for his family as you all were for mine, it does get a little easier knowing that they are in a beautiful place. Thank you so much for everything. You are in our prayers as well…
So Sorry to hear, I will pray for your neighbor.
It’s not just happening in our family either… I have several people I work with that are going through similar situations. One lady I work with at the scrapbook store, her cousin lost twins, and the ower of the store, her cousin committed suicide. I really do believe these bad years come in waves. The last was 6 years ago when we lost so many people in the school system. My ex’s brother, beth’s teacher, kevin’s friend, my classmate, and others. I think every six years these things happen in bunches. It’s not fun and I wish I knew why. I guess for now we try to find the best way to deal with it and say lots of prayers for our loved ones. I pray that this means we have some better times in the near future. Let’s hope for a better 2005, and let’s try to make it better for those hurting.
I think I agree with mom, 2004 needs to end. It has been a hugh year of lose and I’m ready for a change. I think I view the cup half full but lately God sure is testing my perspective (Bernard, Stevie, Betty, George and most of all Matthew). It makes you wonder sometimes and I even wondered if there is a God because I don’t get it! Just a sad mood and this one is bringing up the last one so I’m down in the dumps. Well I have a funeral to attend.
I’m so sorry to hear about your neighbor. I’ll say prayers for you and for his family.
