Keep on truckin….

Another 1.6 for a total of 29.2 and still truckin’ (I’m very happy with this lose but 100 pounds sure does seem far away….)
Anyone else doing anything fun to get in shape?

Well, Here is my update. I went for my 6 week check up and annual PAP smear and I lost all my baby weight and an additional 8 pounds from when I first went to the doctor for my pregnancy. Delaney is gaining- she is probably up to 10 lbs. She is getting really chubby cheeks and Mama loves to kiss them. I’m thrilled, but I need to get my muscle tone back. Good thing we have 4 more months before summer.

I’m working on being responsible with my vitamin intake. I just read an article in Better Homes and Gardens that says too much Calcium can hurt you! And my boss at work told me that his wife (who has MS) went to the doctor, and he told her that you should only take 500 MG of it at a time because that’s all your body can absorb at once. So now I’m trying to do 500 MG in the morning and 500 at night, along with a multivitamin.

I’m also trying to practice smaller but more frequent meals. They actually say that you should eat 6 (yes, I said 6) meals a day! But that means they are small, such as breakfast, a snack at 10 a.m., 1/2 sandwich at noon, the other half at 4 p.m. and then a lite dinner. They say that doing that keeps your metaboloism more stable, instead of the ups and downs you get if you only eat three. Six meals keeps it processing regularly and helps speed it up! I’m not at this level yet, but getting there. I cannot figure out where to fit the 6th meal? I have a trail mix bar for breakfast, another at 10 or 11 a.m., some crackers (or "nabs") at about 2, dinner by 5:30-6 p.m., and a late snack like popcorn at 8. This all seems crazy, but I’m hoping to see some slimming… who knows?

My big debate right now is whether or not to purchase a bike for this summer to ride to work (I live less than a mile away). I haven’t decided yet, but a quick bike ride to work has got to wake you up in the morning! We’ll see what happens.

Oh my, enough of my bolognia…. whew!
