Kate, Shea and the gallery…

Kate&Shae (29k image)
“What children need most are the essentials that grandparents provide in abundance. They give unconditional love, kindness, patience, humor, comfort, lessons in life. And, most importantly, cookies.”

The woman in the picture is Kate (who I teach with at the court) and her granddaughter, Shea. I went to vist her last week because we had to plan next years classes. I got to see the renovation of an old firehouse into a loft apartment and art gallery. To see that story, click here.
Denise and Kevin McGraw (Shea’s parent’s) were featured in one section of the Kansas City Star a few weeks back. It is really something to see, so is the little one- I got to play with her all afternoon (and am going back in August).

Shea is taking her first steps- though she has a full mouth of teeth- she is not quite 11 months yet. She was so much fun! We didn’t get a lot of work done but we did play.
