Huh?

What is the world coming too- first we have to hear about a breast for weeks and now this is noteworthy?

It’s splitsville for Barbie and Ken

After 43 years as one of the world’s prettiest pairs, the perfect plastic couple is breaking up. The couple’s “business manager,” Russell Arons, vice president of marketing at Mattel, said that Barbie and Ken “feel it’s time to spend some quality time — apart.”

“Like other celebrity couples, their Hollywood romance has come to an end,” said Arons, who quickly added that the duo “will remain friends.”

Give me a break!

In other news…A San Francisco’s county clerk began issuing same-sex marriage licenses Thursday, despite the fact that gay marriages are illegal in California. The first couple to be married: Phyllis Lyon, 80, and Dorothy Martin, 83, who have been together for 51 years. Huh… this is longer than most heterosexual marriages but they shouldn’t have rights- I guess it’s only equal if you are a white male- everyone else has to fight for equality (gays/blacks/woman). Yes, this is important to me.

I saw both of these on the news yesterday too. The Barbie thing is stupid and I don’t know why they are even going there. To me, this is not news (it’s just stupid). I was watching stuff on killers and bad weather, and then Barbie and Ken? Get real!

The same sex marriages should be allowed, but with rights too. They are still arguing that marriage is only for a man and a woman… who says? The world needs to get over it and just see that people are people, no matter what their sex… we are all supposed to be created equal!
