Forget the Sugar

This was a tiny blurb in Woman’s Day Magazine that I thought may interest some… I think this may contribute to why my mom is so forgetful at times…

“A small study peformed at New York University showed that middle-aged and elderly people with high blood sugar levels actually had a smaller hippocampus, the region of the brain that holds recent memories. Larger studies will be needed to confirm these results. However, initial findings suggest this is yet another reason to eat a nutritious diet and exercise regularly.”

So mom (Kim), in order to keep your memory active, STOP EATING SUGAR! Plus we want you to keep your eyes and toes.
