Feelin’ Froggy

Hi everyone! I have lots of pictures to get up very soon, but I thought I would start by posting this one of Kameron because it is too adorable. This was at the end of the night when we found a frog in the Pavilion and we decided he needed to be set free. Kam was aprehensive at first because he wasn’t sure if it was going to bite. But after Beth told him it was safe, away he went to free that frog! Good job Kam!

La, I think all you have to do is go to: WinZip’s site and download the free demo version. Once you do that:

    1. Open the application and click on the "I agree" button.
    2. Next, click the "next" button to go to the next screen.
    3. Change the radio button to the last one (create a new zip file) and then click on "Next".
    4. In the "File Name" field, give your zip file a name and click the "Next" button.
    5. Click the "Add Files" button and browse to your pictures. If they are in a folder, you can usually select all of them at once. Then click the "Okay" button when you have all your files and they are in the window.
    6. Last, click the "Zip now" button and then close the application.

Then all you have to do is find where the application put your zip file… for me, sometimes I actually have to do a search because it doesn’t always put it where I think it will.

These files can still get rather large, especially when dealing with large pictures. Check the size of it before you send because most companies will not allow you to receive files that are bigger than 2-5 MB in one e-mail. If that is the case, you should either burn a cd and mail it or send multiple zip files. You can always post the zip file(s) up on the web for only a short amount of time for people to download too, and then remove it after a week or two (providing there is enough room to do so). If you do that, just post a deadline date and let people know that after that it will be gone!!!

Send me some pictures too! I love that we swap photos! It’s too fun! If my files are too big I may just burn you a cd and mail them because I try to shrink them for the webpage. If I burn you a cd, then you will have the high-res photos in case you ever want to get them printed or something.
