Linda and I decided to re-decorate the house now that she is done with school. We moved the wall unit that was in her bedroom into the living room, purchased a new couch and loveseat. Then we redecorated the bookshelves, got a new rug, pillows and throws. It looks much warmer (and fuller).
Here is a picture of the {{popup room.JPG room 423×291}}living room,{{popup couch.JPG couch 415×281}}couch with pillows & throw,{{popup rug.jpg room 228×316}}close up of the rug,and the {{popup bookcase.jpg room 249×319}}bookcase redecorated. My next job will be to re-paint the back wall (we painted it green-Linda doesn’t like it) and to add curtains across 6 windows to soften the quilted covers now on there. Then we hope to look for a bedroom set for Linda (she got a new bed last fall and got rid of the waterbed which meant she lost her frame). It looks pretty lost on the floor (though she likes it!) Slowly but surely we make this house a home! By the way…it’s open to visitors!

The walls are actually pewter- green/gray tone. I’m not sure if I will paint them darker until I decide on art work/pictures- might be too much!

Very nice, I think those wall do need painting though. They look white in the picture, I think if you made them a color or beige, the room would be even warmer. I love that rug, it’s really nice.

I saw this and thought that this would be so cool to do above the picture mom made you for christmas. (The glassblock wall.) Its my newest fav thing I want to do and thought that space in your house would be perfect for a quote befitting the naturesque photo or one of meaning. Check it out!
