“Do not worry about whether or not the sun will rise, be prepared to enjoy it.”
A perfect summer day is one without sunburn… But as this NASA photograph taken from the moon revealed, earth glows with ultraviolet light, so blue that it cannot be seen by the human eye. Overexposure to this invisible UV light is what causes sunburn.
Everybody can enjoy the sun… in moderation. According to the American Medical Association, we all need the sun’s light for vitamin D, which helps our bodies absorb the calcium for our bones. What we don’t need is too much unprotected exposure.
Protect yourself. It’s easy.
It just takes common sense, good sunscreen, proper sunglasses, and care. Make sure to protect your children, also, because a bad sunburn experience puts children at greater risk for adult skin cancer.
