Delaney’s soccer team finished their season with a 3-0 win over Greece Athena last night. The girls had a fantastic 11-1-0 record this season, scoring a phenomenal 50 goals while only allowing 3 goals against them. They really came together as a team and had a lot of fun together. Congratulations on an amazing and successful season ladies!

Yesterday Delaney’s soccer team participated in a breast cancer walk. Two of her teammates grandmothers just recovered from breast cancer. It was cold and snowed a little but it was fun and they got in a 3 mile walk!
Here are some pictures from Katie’s wedding this weekend. Delaney picked out her own dress and Melanie did her hair. She had a special necklace that Erin made her that went perfect and Nana had gotten her earrings as a gift for her birthday. Delaney did a reading during the ceremony and then at the reception she sang with the band. She sang “Say that you love me” by Fleetwood Mac, “Walking on Sunshine” by Katrina and the Waves, and “Uptown Funk” by Bruno Mars and Mark Ronson. She did great and she loved it!! It was a great time and was great to spend some time with Bob’s Family. We also celebrated Bob’s Mom’s 90th birthday this weekend so it was very busy but all was enjoyable! K
They had the gala last night for Westside Theater. They did songs from all 20 musicals they did over the 20 years! It was really special that people travelled from all over to come and be part of this event for Kelly. There has been some AMAZING talent that has come from this program and it was really enjoyable to watch the various numbers that were put together. Delaney and the cast and the Sr High Case did her number Dime a Dozen for the show. It was terrific! Then she was in the chorus for all the other numbers. Here are pictures of her and the girls in their dresses. Delaney loved getting to do the dress up part- she looked great, but she is growing up so fast!! What happened to our chubby faced, curly hair girl? She has become a beautiful young lady!!
Thanks to everyone that came to watch Delaney’s Musical. She did great and she loved having all there to share it with her! Here are some pictures with family and cast members. There is also one with Mr. Cortese. What a fun night!! Delaney did AWESOME and it was so fun to see her doing what she loves!
Delaney had her Vocal Recital on Sunday. Bob and I, Kelsie, Nana and Poppy were there. Here is 1 of her songs “A New Life” from the musical Jekyll and Hyde (originally done by Linda Eder). Nana cried and Mom just beamed! She was great and we have many more singing engagements to come! Check it out. I will also post the other song she sang –The Wizard and I from Wicked (originally done by Idina Menzel). She has definitely gone after songs by other woman with big powerful voices. You can check out their videos and see how she did (remember she is only 12!) The photo is of all the kids that performed that day. ENJOY! K
Delaney was cast as Lucy in the summer musical!
They are doing a Jr Version and a Sr. Version because they had a number of good young people and older kids. Her show is on Thursday, July 23rd at 7:30pm. Then she will be the chorus for the Sr. Show on Friday, Saturday afternoon and Sunday Afternoon. They have a big Gala concert on Saturday night with all the people who have been in Kelly’s shows over the years. Mr. Cortese will be in that one and it should be fantastic! She is really excited and we hope everyone will get a chance to come check it out. Thanks, K
Delaney’s Rhino team had their 1st game against Webster Dynamos last night and they won 3-2. Amazing how far these girls have come this year. So much fun to watch them play!!
Delaney’s Jr. Rhino team played in an indoor league this winter. They had their team in one bracket and then they also had their team in another bracket. They ended up winning in one of the brackets, so here they are with their coaches after they got their shirts. It was a lot of fun to watch and see how much they are growing as a team this year. Long night on Saturday with 3 games, but it was worth it! Good job girls!
This week we were invited to the Board of Education meeting because Delaney won a Churchville-Chili Commendation (Triple C) Award. She was nominated by the new Executive Principal of the Middle School. He is new to our district this year and he discussed that Delaney and her friend Katie (also nominated) really made him feel welcomed by always smiling and greeting him in the hallways and around school, inviting him to join them for lunch at their table and for their PJ Proposal and the event planning that they did to pull off a successful event for their friends and staff in Middle School. Here are pictures of her and Katie getting their award and one of her with her certificate at home. We are really proud of her!! Way to go Lane!
Well- Bob had ankle surgery again. This time they took the hardware out of his leg. They handed it to us in a bag that look like we just went and picked it up at Home Depot. Hopefully, this will alleviate some of the discomfort he has had.
Also, congratulations to Bob on his new job. He was recently hired as the head of security for Monroe Community Hospital. He is looking forward to the new opportunity and only one facility to manage. He starts right before Thanksgiving, hence why he did the surgery this week. Just enough time to get it done and be back on his feet in 2 weeks.
Delaney and her soccer team are playing in the Hilton Heat Soccer Tournament this weekend. They played 2 games today and they tied in both. One was a division 1 team and they did great. They may make the Championship game tomorrow! GO GATORS!
Last night Bob and I went to the Middle School Award Ceremony- there were only a select number of kids in 5th grade who got awards. She was selected for the Teacher’s Choice award. We were really proud of her!!
Well, Delaney has another dog! She is a lab rescue dog and we named her Brooklyn. She is very lovable and actually pretty well trained. She is about 10 weeks old (we think). Not really sure what mix she is, but she is cute and we love her already. More pictures to come. Mom was home with her yesterday so I snapped a few shots, but I need to get a good one of Delaney and her. Mom has been getting up with her the last couple nights so I am a little tired but that is what puppy life is like!! More to come…
