So our children can grow up…
Any intelligent fool can make things bigger, more complex, and more violent. It takes a touch of genius — and a lot of courage — to move in the opposite direction.
NBC’s Dawn Fratangelo (home girl)reports…Antiwar protests circle the globe
“We must be the change we wish to see in this world” I want mine to be of peace.
“Mankind must put an end to war, or war will put an end to mankind…War will exist until that distant day when the conscientious objector enjoys the same reputation and prestige that the warrior does today.”
— John F. Kennedy
Say a prayer today for the ones who will give their lives- the people and children of Iraq, our armed forces and all the people who die from another attack on our soil.
Way # 4 Tasting the mango by giving it away
The day was “Somasha Tahtee”- loosely translated it means “Day to Honor Abundance Everywhere”. The people gathered and not one mango picked on Somasha Tahtee is consumed by the islanders. Every mango is given away.No one ate anything until the coming sunrise as a symbolic act of faith in Sister Earth, for they knew that again tomorrow She would bestow more of her abundance for all to enjoy and share.
Bush disregards the Popes request for peace!
Before you read further- remember- I served in the military- I believe in America- I believe in defending my country. I don’t believe in bullying the world in to submission of our beliefs, of killing our children because the world doesn’t move to your every demand or because you want to avenge your father. I believe in peace (as does everyone in the world but Bush & Blair)
Erin posted this on the Culver site- since it relects my opinion (maybe not exactly but a lot like how I feel I thought I would share – even though I know most of my family doesn’t think this way).
America’s unprecedented power scares the world, and the Bush administration has only made it worse. How we got here—and what we can do about it now.
A sad day when we tell every other nation- we don’t care what you think- we are going to war…most of us don’t even know why (Saddam Hussein and Sept. 11 are not one in the same) and if you stand up against it, you are blacklisted or boycotted (the Dixie Chicks or the use of the word “French”).
Does America no longer stand for freedom (of thought, of speech, of belief)?
Have a wonderful St. Patrick’s Day! For info on this holiday…click more…
I recently discovered the mango- and love them. I have also read the book- seventeen ways to eat a mango- love it. It appears to be out of print so I thought I would share.
Way #1- Eat the Mango where the sky begins. One way can be learned by starting to see the magic in everything. Sometimes it seems to be hiding but it is always there. The more we can see the magic in one thing, he more we are able to see the magic in everything and in everyone. Practice seeing miracles everywhere… where does the mango stop and the sky begin?
Well one of the top front ones is now out and he is talking funny! It is so cute- so this is tooth #3! And it’s already lost… he put it under jis pillow right away and he inadvertently pulled his pillow out a couple of hours later and we cannot find it! but the tooth fairy Gabriel came anyway.
Does anyone have any software that can teach me to type? I don’t want any books to read, I do enough of that already!! School is going well but I need a break…
I follow the web page of Noah Grey. He is a wonderful photographer and the writer of Greymatter (the program used on this blog page). One of his last entries was quite intriguing- a friend of his was doing a “Soundtrack of Your Life”. The idea is much as it sounds; make an imaginary CD’s worth of songs (totaling no more than 80 minutes), listed in order, that tell your story as you see it. To see his, visit: Grey Expectations. What’s on the soundtrack of your life?
